abstract

  • Electronic Engineering Fundamentals (EEF) is a
third-year course in the Aerospace Engineering degree program
at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Covering analog and
digital electronics, as it is the only electronic subject in the
program, students learn to analyze and build electronic
functions, and systems, including microcontrollers. The article
presents the detailed course content, organization, references,
and materials, highlighting results and challenges from the past
three years. It aims to share insights with educators facing the
task of teaching electronics to students without prior Electrical
Engineering knowledge, emphasizing the need for early
incorporation of essential concepts for proper content
sequencing. Proposed improvements focus on enhancing
student motivation and commitment to the subject.
