  • In this paper, the morphological series criminal infraction belonging to the language of the criminal law is studied. In this series, the Spanish noun delito (crime) behaves as the leader of the series, which implies a reorganization of the remaining members of the genetic family. If some of these members undergo restructuring of etymological hierarchy relationships, others undergo changes of meaning which have led to the creation of unattended senses capable of breaking the tendency to univocality that special languages demand.
