abstract

  • This paper presents an algorithm based on the mesh analysis for the calculation of 2-D magnetostatic fields by the finite difference method. The idea of fictitious mesh currents is taken from the circuit theory in order to compute fictitious mesh fluxes in each cell of the mesh. This algorithm was applied to determine magnetostatic fields and inductances in power transformers, and the results were verified with commercial software and with impedance measurements. © 2014 Elsevier Ltd.
