abstract

  • In the 1980s, the installation of the so-called Euromissiles took place within the already difficult geostrategic balance of the Second Cold War, triggering one of the major mobilizations in contemporary European history. The movement spread not only in those five countries where the Euromissiles were installed but also where it did not happen as, for example, in
Spain. Within the huge pacifist movement, the close combination of pacifism and feminism
became a clear element of strength of the anti- nuclear movement both at a national and international level. In this article I will focus on the study of three centers where transnational relations between the anti-nuclear and anti-militarist feminist movements developed intensely:
    Comiso, Greenham Common and Madrid.
