Evaluation of universities in Ecuador has been favorable to the use of performance indicators in academic libraries. The aim of this research is to know the state of the issue of digital services in Ecuadorian academic libraries to elicit relevant information that can be useful for future institutional evaluating processes. To obtain objective data from libraries, a survey was launched to the managers of 56 academic libraries. From the present study, results about digital services can be obtained as well as opinions and reflections of transversal issues about Academic Library Management and the Librarian Policy of the country.
