abstract

  • The World Bank lending policies and procedures are under increasing social pressure. Local communities and civil society activists demand transparency and accountability in development projects. The establishment of the Inspection Panel is a critical policy change in this direction, transforming the inner dynamics of the BankŽs decision-making processes. Notwithstanding this significant advance, additional reforms are required in order to mainstream human rights law in policies and procedures. http://e-revistas.uc3m.es/index.php/CDT/article/view/1831/859
