  • The creation and development of a set of digital information systems and services cast doubt on the sufficiency of the broad and classic education in Librarianship and Information Science and ask for experts in Digital Libraries. Universities, Colleges and Schools, both LIS and Computer Sciences ones, are developing new specialized curricula in Digital Libraries. We start from the European reflections about academic education regarding the European Area of Higher Education which facilitate and foster the internationalization in University Education. The paper analyzes the main initiatives and curricula agreement for the digital librarians training and job market at national and international level, focusing upon USA and EU.
