abstract

  • In this paper we present experimental and computed data of nonlinear equivalent resistance and power losses dissipated in a soft ferrite core. Specifically, we study the case of a Ferroxcube ring-shaped core excited by a 20 kHz sinusoidal time variation. Simulations were performed by means of 2D Finite Element Analysis. In these simulations we consider the core saturation effect as well as core losses.
